The 17th Saga-Yonsei partnership program on High-Energy Physics 2021
We are pleased to announce the 17th 'Saga-Yonsei Partnership Program on High-Energy Physics'. Since the 1st meeting in November 2004, the program has been held annually, alternating Saga U. and Yonsei U. as local hosts. The program is aiming at beginning level graduate students in HEP, and consists of several regular lectures and topical seminars as well as student presentations.
This year, we have the 17th program in online format, on Jan.7-8 and Jan.21-22. While we miss the intimate atmosphere of face-to-face meeting and the fellowship among the HEP students of both universities, we hope the online format will be able to bring more students the opportunity of learning HEP subjects in the program.
This year, we have eight regular lectures (90-min. each) on the following subjects:
- Gravitational waves
- Heavy ion physics
- Physics of neutrinos
- Physics of invisible particles of dark sector
- Effective field theories for BSM studies
- Physics of neutron stars
- Dalitz plot analysis; (and one more TBA)
In addition, as we usually do, we will have sessions of student presentations and short topical seminar by junior-level researchers.
We acknowledge the support by the International Partnership program of Saga University. This program is also supported in part by NRF/BRL and BK21 programs of Yonsei University.
