[Seminar] Higgs physics beyond the Standard Model: The case for heavy Higgs bosons and vector like fermions 1h

Despite the incessant adherence of the Standard Model to precision experiments, there remains a vast ongoing effort to understand the structure of its parameters from a more fundamental level. A common feature appearing in many theories of physics beyond the Standard Model is some combination extended Higgs sectors and vector-like fermions. Current LHC studies focus on searches of these objects independently of each other. However, cascade decays of vector-like fermions involving a heavy Higgs boson can produce promising signatures offering simultaneous discovery channels. In this talk, I will discuss possible signatures for vector-like quarks in these decays at the LHC, and explain some aspects of how these ideas could be useful in the context of supersymmetric models with vector-like fermions.
