Joint Yonsei-Konkuk-Sogang Mini-Workshop on FOPT

"Sizing the walls: how to compute bubble wall velocities and widths in first order phase transitions"

The increasing interest in detecting gravitational waves from cosmological processes steaming out from particle physics has prompted a new era for the development of techniques for the proper characterisation of parameters associated to these processes. Among them, the characteristics of the bubble wall velocity during first-order phase transitions and the decay rate of metastable states in quantum and thermal field theories that can lead to observed gravitational waves play a central role.

In this workshop we will take a hands-on approach to learn cutting-edge tools to make these calculations possible in realistic models. For this it is essential to have WallGo and DRalgo pre-installed. Please follow the installation guide to locate and set up these tools on your system.
