Description
Several extensions of the Standard Model have been proposed in recent years to address the experimental anomalies of the muon g-2 and the W boson mass. One such model, that includes an additional U(1) gauge group, a vector-like lepton and an enlarged scalar sector, was presented in Eur.Phys.J.C 82 (2022) 8, 661, where it was shown how the two anomalies can be simultaneously cured. In this talk, I will present a Renormalization Group analysis of this model. I will show what is its high-energy fate, with particular emphasis on how the stability of the scalar potential is modified with respect to the case of the Standard Model. Some generic features of the running of parameters in theories with enlarged matter and gauge sectors will emerge, and useful indications for model building will be pointed out.
